Been keeping my bets to myself the last few days. Let me tell you, it just does not get any worse than the 2006 baseball season.

I have a bad taste in my mouth after this season. 2006 will go down as the worst baseball season of my lifetime.

Not only in the betting department, but the fan department also.

I have sucked beyond belief this year. My Braves have sucked beyond belief this season.

Its sad that the sport that you enjoy the most can bring such pain.

I normally enjoy baseball season, but this your has been so rotten that I cant even put it into words.

I cant even watch a baseball game anymore. I hope this feeling goes away next season. I probably wont even watch the world series.

I even went as far as to make a 4 team parley on saturday. Something I never do.

I took all favorites. -180 or HIGHER!!!!!!!!!! ALL 4 TEAMS LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHATS THE ODDS OF THAT!!!!!!!

Good luck to everyone the rest of the baseball season. I hope things go better for you than me.

the -180 0/4 says it all...and I can relate, I hate to complain, I had so many streaking teams/pitchers lose as soon as I played them...and then turn right back around and continue the trend next game out....it's just been that kind of year for me, on and off the field, everything I do turns to crap!

Example, my car blows up saturday morning, I borrow a car from someone while mine is being fixed and the freaking power window breaks!

I have never had a year like this, it's as if someone is watching me and just F'ing with me.

see you next week:lolBIG: :puppy:

all kidding aside about a month ago a poster on Fezziksplace.com told me to write down the opening "morning" lines (after they have been hashed out) and bet against games that move over 10%.

Sounds simple but like he said I am on the side of the book and against the public, basically betting against all big line moves.

I am on one of my most amazing runs of all time just betting 1 unit a game I have won over 35 units this month. I am telling you the team that gets steamed is getting beat almost nightly.

I have sinced added totals, runlines and some parlays into the mix and I am telling you this is amazing. Let the public cap and dictate the market and bam be on the side of the book and get value numbers.

Today for example I had:
NY Mets -105
Chicago Cubs +127
LA Angels +140
Cincinatti +115
over 9.5 Ny Mets +104
over 8.5 Houston +116
over 9.5 Toronto +118

not sure how long this will last but I am enjoying the ride. I am telling you the more the so called publice struggles and I think most are struglling, the more I have won. This poster seems to live and die by this "value" theory for bases. He has made a big beleiver out of me.

Hardest sport to win at hands down. If it werent for the Boys of Summer Contest I would have lost interest long ago. Chop.....would love too see you at least submit your 220 picks in the contest to be eligible for the prize at the end of the year. Hopefully you get your money out of it, hell who knows you could win the month of August. I think that its worth a shot. What the hell. Do what I have been doing. I post the 3 plays in the contest and use that to keep me interested. This is my first year of following baseball throuhly and the reason is because of the contest. The best 300 dollar investment that I have ever made. It has made me realize that if I were to have bet baseball on a daily basis I would have lost more that just the 300 that I put in. If you look at the standings, there are only 5 guys out of 25 that are in the plus side. Ill go out on a limb and say this......by the end of the year I believe that there wont be more than 1 or 2 on the plus side......proof to me that baseball is the most difficult sport to win at hands down.......best of luck in what you decide, but I would hope that you wouldnt just walk away from the contest in which you signed up for.

As you well know, I bet streaks as well and have been having the same luck as you. Even in soccer I bet against a team that hadn't won in 8 games and they won. I even bet on the tie and they won.

Fast forward to yesterday (Saturday). I was going to bet on DC United in MLS soccer but had a bad feeling about it. They hadn't been beaten in 14 consecutive games. What happened you ask? They lose 2-1 by having Salt Lake score 2 penalty goals in OT!! I'm lucky I didn't bet it.

Moral of the story is that your luck won't always be this way. It WILL turn around.

Yeah think the Jays game put the dagger in me also. Thought I was going to be on the good side of blown save, but I should have known the gods were just setting me up for another kick in the ass. Running 4-1 against me on blown save situation is painful (Benetiz nailed me again yesterday). Foots here we come.

The weird part is I still feel like I know what I'm talking about and I lost a shitload of money this year on baseball.
